Limited to only 3 students per quarter, this course is like a mini-master's class in leadership. Every week will be a new skill lesson for students to learn that includes both an interactive lecture and a reading assignment (all books are provided and are great leadership resources after course completion). Once the skill set is covered, students then take this skill back to their work team or family for practice. Upon return the following week, we will discuss the outcome of their practice assignment and I coach on opportunities for improvement.
Through real-time learning and real-life skills practice, students develop a deeper understanding of how to apply the skills properly and the knowledge lasts far beyond the class.
A class-specific Facebook page will be created so that the students and I can interact and problem solve between weekly classes. This allows for long-term meaningful friendships and creates a leadership support group for as long as the students wish.
